‘‘Following a re-brand project back in 2015, the time had come to move to corporate, branded binders to store case documentation. The binders, designed and supplied by Nunet, are perfect for client meetings, Court hearings and internal storage. We are delighted with this branded product and I envisage this is something we will use for many years to come.’’
Louis Hilldrup-Boorman - Marketing Manager at Clapham & Collinge
We were thrilled to be approached by Clapham & Collinge Solicitors to design and make their customised legal binders.
Clapham & Collinge is a leading firm of expert solicitors, based in Norfolk, that provide a full range of legal services for businesses and individuals. With three offices and over 80 staff, the firm has a constant requirement to house loose leaf documentation – both internal and case related. With a strong and distinct brand, the time had come to move away from standard off the shelf products, and move to bespoke customised legal binders.
The binders product design is based on the capacity and pocket configuration that identifies (and is unique to) legal binders. Both pockets (front cover and spine) are die-cut with a half moon thumb-cut. Many standard binders’ front pocket cover the entire width; on these binders the pocket stops at just over A4 width. This enables a print area to the right of the pocket. It also means an A4 insert is not lost within the pocket and sits neatly to one side.
Legal binders are required to hold a large amount of loose-leaf pages. These binders are fitted with a 55mm capacity lever arch mechanism and compressor bar, allowing 300-400 leaves to be securely in place.
The creative aspects of the binder focused on Clapham & Collinge brand Pantone colours P75-1U and green 7493C, set against a burgundy background. The swatch of recyclable vinyl colours is extensive; we were able to source and send samples of the burgundy options.
With that covering materiel approved, a pre-production unbranded sample of the burgundy binder was sent along with an emailed PDF visual showing both print colours and logo position. We find that the combination of physical samples and digital proofs is the surest way to confirm each of the preferences made leading up to manufacture.
The binders were manufactured in 15 working days from approval of sample and visual.
